Hello! I'm Thomas, a ceramic artist based in Tel Aviv, Israel. I was born in Saarbruecken, Germany, a small city near the lush Black Forest on the border of France and Luxembourg. At the age of 18, I moved to the bustling city of West Berlin, where I lived and studied until the year 2000.
On a brief vacation to Israel, I fell madly in love with the country, its sights, its natural beauty and with its people. I couldn't bear to leave, and so I moved to Tel Aviv that same year! I've transitioned multiple times in the past to different methods of artistic expression, and my relocation to Israel brought with it my venture into ceramic art. I undertook studies of it, which I finished in 2005.
I opened my own ceramic studio in 2006, fulfilling a dream that had begun six years earlier to transform that which I saw around me into works of art.
The nature, landscapes and underwater life here in Israel inspire me without stop and in continually surprising ways. My love of natural beauty is reflected in the shapes, textures and colors of my pieces.
